Jennifer Griffin

Jennifer Griffin is on a new path in life. Formally a paralegal, she suffered a severe blood infection in March 2007. Due to the loss of blood and oxygen from the infection, the end result was the loss of all four of her limbs. However, keeping true to her spirit, and having always been an active sportswoman, Jennifer immediately began to focus on how she could turn this into something that would help others by sharing her life experience and changing the end result. She founded The P.L.A.Y. Foundation (Positive Living for Active Youth), which inspires amputee youth to live an active lifestyle through sports, music and art. Her attitude and dedication of finding humor, purpose and positive outlets in difficult times will bring you to new levels of strength.  She is also a frequent writer on her blog www.getwelljen.blogspot.com.  She has been featured several times in The Dallas Morning News, CBS 11 local News as well as other news articles and books.  Jennifer is a wife to her husband, Nick, and step-mom to 11-year-old Matthew and is currently writing a book.
